Lunch - I have today off after working 8 straight days. So today is going to include a lot of rest and recuperation to get over the cold I've been nursing the past couple of days. I'm improving already. Perhaps a bit more soup with some crushed red pepper and garlic to clear my head. I have the house to myself so I'll probably read a bit and watch a stupid movie that the girls would hate. Maybe even play a little guitar.
G&L - your signature model G&L - sure its a nice dream but what if BBE lets you design a model to your specifications. Whats it gonna be? If you are so inclined post a photoshop mock-up of your design. Otherwise give me a good description.
Here's mine: I'd start with a Bluesboy and then make some relatively minor but all important changes. Make it with rear mounted controls so I don't have to deal with the distracting and unattractive control plate on the front. Then the most important change - put a saddle lock bridge on it. Of course it would have black hardware. I'd probably order the first one semi-hollow with an f-hole in honeyburst or old-school tobacco burst. I've even got a catchy name: The ASAT Bluesman cuz its what the Bluesboy aspires to be when it grows up. If BBE wants to use my idea I want even charge them for it. If they want to send me a prototype just email me and I'll give them a shipping address. Here's a quick and dirty photoshop to give you a visual.

Non-G&L - There's an app for that. There's about a million and 1 music related iphone apps out there. I've seen several guitar simulators but never tried any of them. I've heard good reviews on some of the tuner apps available but I've got tuners already so I haven't bought any of those yet. An app I did try was Bebot a funky little synth type app. Quirky and cool. Check out Jordan Rudess of Dream Theatre giving a little demo of it. If you've got any worthy music related apps let me know, won't you?

more Non-G&L I've learned more than just guitar info on this forum. Now I don't remember who it was but someone on this page mentioned cooking a trash can turkey a few months ago. I finally got a chance to try it over New Years. Highly recommended. Its quick, easy, and made one the best tasting turkeys I've ever had. Basically you drive a stake in the ground, hang a turkey on it, cover it with a (clean) trash can, put hot coals around and on top of the can, drink a beer and wait. In 2 hours you'll have 1 of the best turkeys you ever ate. Check the web for details. You won't be sorry.
that's all folks, thanks again for reading and writing,
Jeff
