SC-2 Reissue, Vintage White

Post by Chrome Dinette »

I bought this used recently. Vintage White would not have been my first choice of color, but the price was right and I had been wanting to try one for a while. The only complaint I have is that the vibrato bar sits a bit too flat to the top of the guitar. I just need to put it in a vise and give a little bit more of a bend.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting the picture of the SC-2. I recently bought a Fullerton Red Sc2, very much like the one in your photo (DF) and it is a terrific guitar.-- Darwin

there is nothing wrong with the vibrato bar, the bridge is tilting forward too much, that is why the bar appears too flat to the guitar. tighten the springs in the back. the df trem doesn't have to tilt lie a fender trem. don't hurt the bar.

To get it setup to factory specs, see: SC-2 model DF vibrato bridge setting.

Hope this helps.

in that post it doesn't say it, but the bridgeplate is parallel to the body. it is apparent in the photos.

Thanks for the pointers. The bridge is tilted forward subtly. I will correct this and it should put the bar at a more comfortable angle.

The post I pointed to has a link to the original Owners Manual, which has the step by step details and it does say it there.
