ASAT Tribute Carved Top Gloss Black?

Hi All,

I missed the steal of the day deal awhile back but found a good deal on a used Carved Top ASAT Tribute Deluxe on Musician's Friend. One question: I thought I was ordering the semitransparent finish one, but I got a gloss black one instead. Is this the same guitar but with a gloss finish (presumably because the wood has imperfections)? Or is it all mahogany with no maple top?

I ordered it and a Tribute Fallout to try both out and see what I like.
