Bluesboy came out in 1999 as a limited edition in sunburst. It didn't make production run as a standard model until 2001. But if the neck says 1997, then it could be an older stamped neck, or someone took an ASAT Classic and at a later date added a humbucker. I'd have to see the route and what humbucker. Given the position of the humbucker, it looks like it's a production rum version as they humbucker was moved slightly from the 1999 version.
I love the way the Legacy has the nut & lace pickups looking like an EC or Strat Plus. PS: I never pay attention to what a lot of boards say about pickups or amps as I believe it's up to the individual's personal sound preference. Lace pickups seemed to work OK for Eric Clapton and since he's known for tone --- I'd say he trumps anyone saying those pickups aren't any good. I love the Fullerton red on it as well.
Did both Gibsons, however I admit to being a sucker for GoldTops. I always thought they just look cool.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I was guessing on the Bluesboy year. It must be a 1999 then? I took the neck off when I first got it. I was going by memory but we know how that goes. But I know for sure it was late 90's on the neck. I cant guarantee the same for the body. I thought it was 90's as well. You seem to be in the know about this model more than me. You think maybe it is a 2000? I am gonna have to take the neck off again at some point to be for sure.
I am in no way talented enough to use a b bender. But I think they look cool. And I use to have one with a drop D switch and I miss that one a lot. I use it on a couple of songs and do a real simple bend with it. What I found is this. You dont have to be good with it at all! The crowd will go wild with a simple bend. I will play a little 2 or 3 note chord and use the b bender to go up a whole step. The crowd thinks this is guitar wizardry. It is amazing how simple you can use it and impress them.
Lace Sensor, it shocks me the stuff I have read online putting these pickups down. Then these people say the same thing in music stores. A month ago I heard a kid say "I hate Lace Sensor, they are to cold and steril for me". I said "Have you owned a set before?". He replied "No, but I have heard them or I think I played them once". I said "Oh what kind of guitar was it you played them in?". He replied "Oh I cant remember at all".
See what I mean? He can recall all kinds of stuff about the tone. But doesn't even remember when or what he played them in. you wanna bet a dollar he has never played them? And the comments he made was from stuff he has read online?
In the last 5 years I seen Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck and Pete Townsend play Lace in a guitar. I bet if Clapton didnt have such a big Fender deal we would see him break them out sometimes ass well. Steve Winwood used them when he played with Clapton as well.
I tell ya, the PTB system works great with the Lace pickups. Nice match for sure. Lace also got a bad wrap with the Fender Plus models. Players plugged them in and cranked all the knobs to 10. They did not know the Strat Plus had a TBX tone control. SO they were boosting so much high end and didnt know.
