NGD Crusty S500

Post by Sprinter 92 »

Yesterday, I received a very rusty & crusty 2000 G&L, S500.

I tried to string it, but the locking pins inside of the G&L/Schaller locking tuners are stuck. I'm going to remove the tuners and soak them in Soy-100. Hopefully the pins will loosen up.

I look forward to seeing that go from a sad specimen back to its former glory!

Jeez! Did they dip it in salt water? Looks like a nice piece of wood. Going to be pretty when you're done.

Things will probably loosen up. Must have been in a humid area. -- Darwin

Aren't those called "road worn, reliced or just rusty" and sell for HUGE bucks!

I am sure with a little TLC that will be soon be back to G&L glory, enjoy!
