Good deal? Overpriced?
Thanks everyone as always!

Doesn't really matter to me, its not the sort of thing everyone would keep. IMO they don't do much towards verifying the legitimacy of an instrument. Still, if you can use this as a way to haggle them down another $50 it might be worth mentioningBluesboy wrote:How important is the "paperwork" or case candy with this (or any used G&L for that matter)?
I wouldn't be buying this as a flip guitar but still being relatively new to the G&L world, I always see and hear people asking if the paperwork is included.
For the record, this one has no papers or case candy.
They are different, see this post: GF models.Bluesboy wrote:I'm working on things now, I'm also not certain if it has the case (I believe it does).
Shop is closed tonight so all I can do is stew, LOL.
Let me ask you this - is there anything different about a GF Signature model and a Legacy? I understand it's a soft V vs a #1 profile and maybe the switching is different?
I did just buy this so I may get George and decide between the two.
Case candy only matters for a used instrument if it makes the guitar "complete" in your eyes. I like the fact that a couple of my very early G&Ls still have theirs, but it makes no real difference in their value and absolutely no difference in playability. You can pick up a basic set of Allen wrenches for $5 and have all the functionality of the case candy.Bluesboy wrote:How important is the "paperwork" or case candy with this (or any used G&L for that matter)?

I'm not local enough to actually do an "in hand" exam of the neck. I wish I was, LOL.Dave_P wrote:You are giving me a serious GAS attack this morning, I saw that a few weeks ago before the price drop and was tempted, had I known it was a 3-bolt I'd probably have snagged it. At $699 I think it's a great deal, if I had the money right now I'd be on my way there!
Which neck profile does it have? According to GGJ's page it should be either a "V" or an Oval
Good Luck!

What is the return policy, just in case you find some hidden issues?Bluesboy wrote:O.k., here's where things stand.
I confirmed that the guitar has no candy AND no case.
$699 + shipping (not close enough, LOL) + taxes = $773.40
I haven't pulled the trigger yet and the dealer gave me the boo-hoo on the price so no further discounts, LOL.
Anyone have additional words of wisdom regarding the price?
Thanks!
In that case, you've got nothing to lose. I say, go for it!Bluesboy wrote:100% returnable.
The upper horn and headstock George Fullerton signature are waterslide decals of his actual signature.Salmon wrote:EDIT: I had overlooked a post and it answered my question.
I am curious, were these original signatures or did they use decals?
