The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
Hard to see the Lacewood figuring, the seller mentions it still has that smell ( olfactory delights from that ol'factory , is that why they call it NOS ? )

Don't even get me started. Once upone a time when I was a particle physicist I did an experiment where I made Yamato collide with Master of the Broadcaster. In one way or another this person was found among the reaction products ...
That could get a little awkward, but really neat too.
The rotary switch to select pickups has been used before most notably in Paul Reed Smith's early Customs. My PRS Artist II has a 5-position rotary switch and my main peeve is the absence of an easy visual cue what position you are in.

Alembic has been using them since the early 70's, not everyone knows from where the rivers flow, so yeah...PRS.

I'm confused, was this a reply to the deleted off topic posts? or ?
PRS also used a five-way switch on their basses back in the 80s. I remember Gibson using them on some B.B. King-endorsed models in the late 90s or early 00s as well.

there is a used BB King Signeture 355 Gibson at my local G & L dealer with rotary switch right now 1895.00
I've moved this out of the PSA sub-forum since it's really become more....
I had an email discussion with Dave and Dean about this earlier today:
I asked if this was a legit Commemorative Legacy prototype. Dave replied "Looks like a mid ‘90s employee guitar to me."
And Dean commented "I sure wouldn't call it a Commemorative other that body wood it has nothing to do with those guitars. Dave is probably right, it's an employee built guitar made from a left over piece of Lacewood that sat around the factory or was stashed away from that time."
Dave replied "Ha ha, I was feeling diplomatic but Dean hit exactly what I was thinking. : )".
I commented "Body wood looks like swamp ash to me." And Dave replied with "The photos sucked, but that was my impression too. Nice how the serial number was totally out of focus."

Looks more like G033678 to me but 1) that would still be an unregistered S/N and 2) who gives a hoot?
I wish you could mark certain auctions as an attempt to swindle unsuspecting people out of money or instruments worth substantially more than one on auction. Bur alas ... You wonder why the seller states " I might accept EASILY re-sold trades." (capitalization not mine) ...
