I am trying to figure out what model of guitar this guitar is. (I am not associated with the owner, just curious about the guitar). The owner received it in a trade and isn't certain. He was told it was a custom order not a standard configuration. The headstock does not have the model decal.
I am not aware of a "Tribute S-500" which is how the owner described it but this looks more like an Invader except for the three control knobs. The body binding makes S-type guitars look different to me which, given these pictures, makes it more difficult to distinguish. I am thinking Legacy Deluxe with options but the route for the HB-SC-HB is the obstacle.
I think the route for the Legacy's with a pickguard is different than the pickguardless Deluxes which are typically SC-SC-HB. It would require a special routing to produce a pickguardless HB-SC-HB Legacy. The only G&L model I have seen with the HB-SC-HB pickguardless configuration is an Invader. Again, they have only two control knobs, not three.
Can you order a Legacy Deluxe in an HB-SC-HB configuration?
Apparent upgrades to a Legacy Deluxe:
Ebony fretboard
Body binding
Quilted top
Matching headstock
HB-SC-HB configuration
EMG HB pickups
Semi-hollow (I read here that Dave said any model of Legacy could be done semi-hollow)
Apparent options from Invader Plus:
Ebony fretboard
Body binding
Quilted top
Matching headstock
EMG pickups
Semi-hollow
Dual Fulcrum Vibrato instead of Floyd Rose (?? looks like it is an option on the G&L webpage but Invaders shown on the website are routed for Floyd Roses??)
Guitar on eBay Note: I am wondering about the model not announcing the sale for people to take notice of so I posted in this section not the Public Announcement area. Moderators feel free to move it if deemed appropriate.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
