Invader Questions
I am least familiar with the invaders in the G&L line. My questions are specifically to a 2006 Invader 2H with a saddle lock bridge. It appears to me that the body shape of the Comanche, Invader, Legacy and the S-500 are the same. This Invader has a push pull vol and tone which I am assuming is to split each pickup individually. Is this the same basically as a Legacy 2HB other than the Legacy has a pickguard and if the Legacy were ordered with the saddle lock? I have searched the forum and looked in the Gallery and did not find any wiring diagrams on the Invader. Thanks for any information.-- Darwin

Re: Invader Questions
Hi Darwin, the Invader is a different body shape to the Legacy /S500/ Comanche. The upper horn is longer.
Mine is an Invader Plus in lefty from about 2003, bought it used it was a custom order by the first owner.
The body edges are also more square than a Legacy, less rounded off.
Mine is HSH with a five way switch and a separate mini switch to split the humbucker.
Hope this helps.

SPG, that does help and what a beautiful invader you have. I looked at pictures on the G&L web site and didn't notice the difference in the horn length. Yours has a gorgeous top with the binding. Sweet! Thanks-- Darwin

As mentioned, the body is different, see: Current G&L Guitar Body Shapesdarwinohm wrote:I am least familiar with the invaders in the G&L line. Does it look like one of these?
The wiring is similar to the Legacy 2HB (2 knob version), but without the coil tap switch.
Hope this helps.

Re: Invader Questions
Thanks Craig, it is exactly like the Blueburst. That helps as I didn't notice the upper horn difference that Southpaw mentioned. I will look at the Legacy 2h wiring diagram. I am not sure if the push pull pots have been added or are standard. -- Darwin

Re: Invader Questions
All of the Invaders I've played had the 1-11/16" neck and the standard coil split. I've seen two that I'm kicking myself for not buying.

Re: Invader Questions
Thanks Bill, this one has a 1 5/8 neck and is in unplayed condition. It has push pull pots which I believe are not stock. They eluded to it having a wiring problem and I love that. Negotiating power doesn't hurt. I don't need another guitar and am doing the research and we will see what happens. When I came back today Ginny asked if I had bought myself a birthday present. Doesn't that sound like the okay????? -- Darwin

SPG, i wish I was getting paid to do research! Louis, you are correct I am sure but my old eyes didn't catch any of this initially. Seeing it later I can see the upper horn lines up on a higher fret but the rest I cannot see unless I had them next to each other. If it hangs around for a while I may rescue it.-- Darwin
