After some homework those are very very well recieved (and it was neat, I just wouldn't route for it).
I was thinking of noiseless P-90s. I have Fralin noisefree P-90s in a Heritage 137 and they are the business, stone dead silent even with very high gain and still give a great clean jazz tone on the neck pickup. This time I was going to go with Manlius pickups Quiet Goat models.
That was before I decided not to mod this Legacy. But that was yesterdays decision and as I'm having a hard time getting info on the various types of Wilde pickups it
may be back on the cards. I
can get a lefty Legacy guard with three P-90 slots. My biggest concern is that P-90s are generally mounted directly to the guitar and not the guard, so the setup might be a bit complicated with the controls on the guard and the pickups on the guitar itself, with wires going between the two.
So that got me thinking of a three mini humbucker setup instead, Duncan or DiMarzio are easily available and mount to the guard
and are easily height adjustable unlike P-90s.
So at the moment I'm officially undecided. I think.
