I just have my classic custom from the guitar tech ( I don't know how you translate "luthier" ), a set up, with 11/49, a cut of the pickguard, and now.....
it's a BOMB waooooooooooow

it's baaaaaad... I'm sure you know what I mean.
Anyway, all you classic custom owners out there owe you this favor (IMO obviously) !
I'm a happy man, yeah !
and thanks too all of you
oh, and by the way, my tech told me my tortoise pickguard is made of acetate (wich is highly flammable when tooled that makes it dangerous and forbidden at least in France), but... the point is : according to my tech, that's the better way to have a tortoise that looks really great, and it's a bit expensive, you usually find that kind of material on luxury (say custom shop) guitars.
another hats off to G&L for providing such great options and quality material.
I wanted to share that information with you.
cheers Xavier
