Brown truck delivered!

Post by sam »

Just received ASAT Jr #188 of 250 and very pleased at first feel.
(arrived two days ago and I was out of town but got her in my hands today)

First impression beyond the cherry red color was it is a featherweight. Mahogany but SH is very easy to pick up and play. Have only played a short bit but I like the tone. Kind of reminds me of a Guild Bluesbird, another gitar I like. Seems to keep the right amount of big MFD but there's a little growl that can come out. Again, this is only a few minutes of playing time but this will be a keeper.

Thanks to the folks at GC in Kirkland WA for this GAS moment. :alright:

Any other Jr owners with suggestions or comments on yer experience?

Hi Sam,

Congrats my man :happy0065: Wasn't aware there was another Jr. available so close by in the Seattle area.

That chambered body makes it indeed very light-weight. I have my #182 tuned in Dobro tuning to do some slide work and I love it for that. Now I only wish I could play like Duane, or Warren, or Derek, or Sonny, or ...
