As a diehard G&L fan and collector of vintage G&L instruments, I created this website (GuitarsByLeo.com, also known as "GbL") back in July, 1997. The site rapidly developed a following and in late 1998, members of the discussion forum here collectively designed the www.guitarsbyleo.com Limited Edition Guitar (known as the "GbL_LE" for short).

I moved on in late 2000 and the site is now owned and operated by G&L themselves. Since 2000, I have worked at Fender as Director of Fender.com. I do continue to maintain quite a stable of G&L instruments (mostly vintage) and enjoy stopping by here every now and then to see what's happening.

A few fun facts about this site:

* The "Lunch Report" concept that is found in numerous guitar-related discussion forums around the Internet originated right here!

* The 1999 www.guitarsbyleo.com Limited Edition Guitar project (the "GbL_LE") was the very first Internet-based effort of its kind. Since then the feat has been replicated by untold other forums, but it all started here ...
