Hi all,
Has anyone used a 500k pot for the bass cut in the PTB circuit, and how did it turn out? If it's usable is it best to go with audio taper wired backward or linear taper?
I've got a project brewing for a two-pickup guitar and want to use the PTB circuit. The simplest option is an adapted PTB circuit, with the volume pots first and "master" treble and bass controls afterward (image below).
A PTB circuit for each pickup will be more flexible, but would mean I need to choose between six pots (a bit crowded and possibly a little unsightly) or 500k/500k dual control pots with stacked/concentric knobs (they're available but ridiculously expensive). The bass control would be wired backward in the latter case, but that's fine.
I'd love to hear any opinions or experiences
