ASAT Classic pickups fit in a Fender tele?

Post by Vanillasm00thy »

How much work would be required to put a set of ASAT Classic mfd pickups into a Fender telecaster?

If you're getting the pickups from -
http://g-l-online-store.myshopify.com/c ... ns/pickups
- and your Tele is "USA-spec" then they should fit.

IIRC, early on, the G&L pickups were not the same size as the Fender, but at some point G&L started making them so they would fit in a Fender.

Thank you. Would there be any difference with a Japanese Tele?

The place to get your question answered is:

http://www.tdpri.com/

It's the Telecaster owners page. It's quite comprehensive, there's lots of discussion groups. Here's a search string for Japanese Teles:

http://www.tdpri.com/search/8606928/?q= ... =relevance

That should get you started.

No difference, they're interchangeable.
