84 SC-3 Color Verification

Post by sourjaw57 »

Hi,

Can anyone confirm or deny that this 84' SC-3 has an original factory finish? I've been trying to find a similar one all over the web with no success... Thanks!

That looks to be Bahama Blue finish and if so, it would likely be original factory finish.

We have a total of 31 instruments registered with that color finish of which 5 are SC-3s.
You could search the Gallery and will find three basses in that color.

Hope this helps.

Yep, what Craig said. Indeed that is a stock finish. I've seen a few SC-3's in that finish (and all were 2nd body style) - its pretty dark blue and can almost appear black in some photos.
