We're working on a couple more of these for Sweetwater currently that are RMC versions with nice maple tops, done a bit more modern.

The two we did with the guard are excellent builds though. I'd love to do it more often. I think the Split-P pairs nicely with the MFD humbucker bridge pickup for a 2-pickup bass. This was all Steve Araujo's brainchild, our head of sales (who is also a really amazing bass player himself), and he pitched the idea to me, and I made the two prototypes. We're also trying to do something similar with an LB-100 body shape as well, although personally I love the sleeker lines on the SB shape.

The SB shape is in my mind the most ergonomic, comfortable configuration. My (sadly now gone) SB-2 was awesome.

G&L CS is totally exploring new grounds; the "new" models and configurartions being built there, making use of G&L proprietary features and such, is truly amazing.

Hat's off to the crew.
