I doubt there is a single post-1970 rock album I've enjoyed that wasn't influenced by The Velvet Underground & Nico or White Light/White Heat. Very few albums can hold a candle to those two, IMO. RIP, Mr. Reed.

Beyond his most famous albums from the '60s and early '70s, I have always considered '82s "The Blue Mask" to be a true gem. Thanks Lou and rest in peace.
