my version of a Solamente

I'd love to see a single (bridge) pickup droptop ASAT, large MFD with no pickguard and a saddle lock bridge. I'm not sure if "droptop" is the official name, but saw a few of them around last year in different colors go through my buddy's shop. He has had one of them hanging on his wall for a while, and I'm gonna walk home with it one of these days since it has a nice #1D neck on it that I love. Add to that a painted matching headstock and it would really look great with all that guitar "face" showing! With Paul's Solamente wiring completed, all it would take to do these would be less routing for the neck pickup.

I think it would be a worthy follow up to the Solamente and could utilize and attract the large MFD fans out there to contrast with the more classic take the Solamente has.

I actually tried to get one of these made last year through my favorite dealer, but after he inquired we were told it just couldn't be done with the Solamente coming down the line.

Anyone think this would be a cool option? I'm a fan of "less is more", and would jump at the chance to get one of these. Here is my juvenile microsoft paint version of one what I see in my head. The color choice isn't what I'd want but hopefully gets the idea out there.

Totally cool. I'll take one in black with a bound top, single white pickup and a rosewood 'board, thanks. I'm a big fan of single pickup guitars, and was hoping the Solamente would be (a) available in this configuration as a more traditional G&L take an Esquire and (b) without the neck route. Even more than this I'd like to see an SC-1 in the catalogue. How I'd love to be the director of the CCD...
