Neck Pickup for ASAT Classic S (2012)

Post by thunder100 »

Hi

I have this and play it often

Although i know that a Tele Twang Comes mainly from the Bridge pickup and the bridge iron arround still the if I use neck and Bridge the twang could be better

Will the normal ASAT pickup help?
If so where to buy as they are not offered on the G&L online parts page
Any other pickup with Chrome cover Suggestion?
Better to put if neck or middle(but that is RW)?

thanks for some experiance based suggestion

Thanks

Roland

I don't think a normal ASAT Classic MFD neck pickup will help but it will add hum to positions 2 and 4.
This is the reason they changed the neck pickup from the stock ASAT Classic neck pickup.
On the ASAT Classic 'S', the neck and bridge pickups are wound the same direction with the middle pickup RW.
The G&L On-Line Store does have the stock ASAT Classic MFD pickups (neck and bridge) for sale.

I don't know the answer to your question sorry, but that is a seriously sexy guitar.

I love the understated class of the NENA finishes. :luv:

Maybe play around with the heights of the pickup so you get a bit more bridge and a little less neck in the middle position. If that doesn't work then you can always get a set of twangier, more vintage style pickups.

And +1 on what Phil said. Dead sexy guitar!

Yes thats a Nena

what you dont see is that the wood is not polished but still kind of natural.VERY GOOD GUITAR and I have many.

I will try now an ordinary Tele-Pickup on next string change as the pickup height I have done allready.Probably I am too stupid to play
