Need help setting up bridge on Legacy

Post by johnnyqb »

I have a beautiful 2011 Legacy, but I am a total novice at setting up strat-type bridges like this. With a strat I just add 2 springs to lock down the bridge, but the Legacy seemingly has no capacity to add springs. Is there any other way to tighten down this bridge so it is not floating? Why can't you add srping to the Legacy bridge?

Here's one way: How do I block the tremelo on my guitar?

Or you could replace the original claw with one which supports more springs.

For factory setup, see: Current Factory setups for DF vibrato G&L guitars.

Hope this helps.
