I have a G&L S-500 tribute and was wondering if anyone has some suggestions on getting the classic blues sound (like a Gibson). I know I will not be able to reproduce the sound I just want to get closer than I am getting. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I dont know if there is A classic blues sound. I can thing of many.
If You want a singing humbuckerish tone, use a middle position and roll of some treble.
Use a tube amp and make sure it is overdriven.

Well, if the middle pup is RW/RP you can wire them in series instead of parallel to kind of get a bigger humbucker tone. More along the lines of a beefy P90, but it's close.
