G&L Legacy Tribute (Lefty) on eBay...

Post by Lefty »

I'm thinking about trying to buy this guitar on eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/150763653044?ss ... p3984.m143...

It's a new G&L Legacy tribute - I think I may be able to get it for about $310 + shipping. Seems like a great deal.

This would be my first Legacy - Anybody here have an opinion on the Tribute series?

UPS delivered the G&L Legacy Tribute late yesterday. I haven't had time to play with it yet, but it looks pretty nice so far. It's brand new. :)

I'll let y'all know what it's like after a string change and setup. :happy0007:

I replaced the strings with a new set of D'Addario EXL110's, adjusted the truss rod, string height and intonation on this guitar so far. The frets are finished nicely and are pretty much level but not PLEK quality. The finish is very good but there are a couple spots that were not properly cleaned before the Poly went on. If you've ever worked with polyurethane you know that it tends to move away from any dust creating kind of a divot. That is only noticeable if the light is right.

In all fairness, it's not quite the same quality one would expect from a G&L USA model, but its close. But then, it didn't cost a small fortune. It is a very playable guitar! I like it!! 8-)

See photos in G&L porn!! ;)
