ASAT Korina Deluxe (Not So) Limited?

Post by hexabuzz »

So I see that there's been talk regarding the certificates and numbering, but what's up with this?

http://proguitarshop.com/g-l-asat-deluxe-korina.html

Ok, it's a slightly different hardware configuration for bridge and pups, and rosewood for the board, but doesn't this completely defeat the purpose of a Korina Limited Edition?

My Korina ASAT Junior 2 just arrived, and I'm still trying to resolve a build issue right out of the box, and the certificate I got, dated December 11th, only says 1 of 100 (not even a specific number guitar...), but when I saw the above link when I did a search for "ASAT Korina" I was floored...

Why did I bother waiting 4+ months for my Limited Edition guitar?

It reminds me of the quote from the Incredibles...

Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.

So I guess my "Special" Limited Edition isn't so special after all...

Hello Dave,

They are Limited Edition guitars. However, there are prototypes and that is what is
being listed on Pro Guitar Shops website. Unfortunately they did not list the
ASAT Deluxe as a prototype. :eh:

See this post regarding that ASAT Korina Deluxe (prototype):
http://guitarsbyleo.com/FORUM/viewtopic ... 648#p32648

See this post regarding the numbering (they are not serialized):
http://guitarsbyleo.com/FORUM/viewtopic ... 065#p30065

Sorry to hear you have a build issue, but I'm sure the dealer and G&L will get it resolved
once you bring it to their attention.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Craig, I appreciate the info.

I'm sure everything will get sorted out - My dealer is Gordon at Up Front Guitars, and he's awesome.

Thanks again, and Happy Holidays!
