ASAT Special bridge pickup drop in output

Post by kfguy »

I have a 94 ASAT Special. My bridge pickup recently had a major drop in output. Neck still works fine, but next to nothing in the bridge position. Might this just be a switch or pot issue, or could there be a problem with the pickup? I can change the switch and pots.

You have to start somewhere so.. - I would check the switch first. It may just need a dose of contact cleaner.

New CRL Switch and CTS Pots, pickup sounds like it should again. Glad it wasn't a problem with the pickup. I really didn't want to replace it or try to get it rewound. This has been my favorite electric since I bought it about 10 years ago. :)
