Korina Bluesboy in the House

Post by timz3 »

My Korina Bluesboy arrived this week and its even better than I expected. Great tone and playability, and it's beautiful. Sorry about the fingerprints, they were fresh off a jam session.

A couple of great looking guitars there. How about putting up some more photos when you're not too busy playing the new Korina Bluesboy? ;)

Jos,

It's a little bit brighter than the ash or alder Bluesboys I've played, especially the neck pickup. The neck pickup is very articulate and sweet, never dark or muddy. The bridge pickup has less twang than the classics. Overall I would desribe it as being more well mannered than the Z3.

And it sounds awesome through my Rivera Blues Shaman and Mesa Express 5:50. I can get it from mild, barely noticable overdrive to really grinding.

I had a korina PRS McCarty - loved its tone, but just couldn't live with the body shape (strat like - I like single cuts/tele body shapes), but that TONE was fabulous - and would imagine the same on these...I'm going to play one next week when it arrives at the local.

A very nice looking classic. I also like the Z-3. They are a striking pair.-- Darwin
