Who needs a Les Paul when you have got an ASAT Deluxe.
Well, now that Gary Moore's (RIP) Les Paul ended up in a museum, I had to use the ASAT.
It starts where the action is, so you won't get bored... The movie I used is from an other take, but nobody will notice anyway...

Nice IVO.
Thinking of super slides and bowling alleys with that camera mounted on the neck like that.
This tune is from his first blues album I believe. Gary Moore's first blues album was his best although The Story of the Blues was his greatest blues song IMO.

The magic comes from the player, the guitar can only help a little. You play with great feel.

I love the camera angle and see how you sway to the feel of the music.
It's also neat to see the ASATs in their stands behind you.
Do you have any recorded albums for sale on line?
What would be really cool is to have the whole band with
cams on their instruments and watch a matrix of everything
at once.
My Will Ray DVD hasn't arrive yet obviously but I can't wait
to get educated!

Well you playing is quite impressive.
The room you are playing in looked like it
was back stage somewhere.
I could enjoy listening to full length songs
from you complete with cam on the headstock -
really love that!

Thank you Blarg. Yes, it's a nice musicroom, I'm spending a lot of time there, it's quite large, and I can play pretty loud.
But I do use an attenuator...
Jwebsmall, I'll post a longer version of a song when I get my new Korina, stay tuned!

Nicely done. I like that tone you are getting out of that ASAT. What are you using for amps and pedals on that track? And, very nice playing as well. I think you have Gary Moore dialed in.

Thanks RickT !
The ASAT went straight into the amp, no pedal, and mic'd it.
I used my Mesa Road King II, modern channel four. You can assign your output tubes with this amp, and I chose a pair of EL34's with a 5U4 rectifier in this case. And a little of the built in reverb. That's all. Nice amp, very good clean sounds as well.
I have to mention that the recording sounded much better from the start. But then you go to a mp3, it gets less, then you go to the mp4 movie, and it gets less again… But, I'm contended with the results anyway.

Wow - I can't wait to hear the Korina ASAT. I've wondered what that would sound like.
Maybe you could post a link to an mp3 as well as the movie.
I better check my mail box today to see if the Will Ray DVD arrived.
Usually I get only junk mail and bills once a month. Otherwise it is
a wasted trip to the box. With the internet these days it would seem
the USPS to scale back to just Monday, Wednesday and Friday deliveries.
They could keep the post office open regular hours Monday - Saturday
just cut home/apt deliveries by 50%.
