The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
Sweet! While I've seen Neal Schon's name in the artist list on G&Ls site, I've never seen him playing one. I'm a Journey fan from the Escape days, and it's great to see somebody from Journey playing a G&L!!
...and he appears to be sporting a goatee! Looks good!

The neck pickup looks like an ASAT Classic MFD pickup not the Seth Lover HB of a Bluesboy.
I also cannot see either the bridge nor bridge pickup. I've emailed Dave but have not heard back yet.
It may well be a stock ASAT Classic, but listed as an ASAT Classic Bluesboy.
I think it is a Bluesboy, after looking very closely.
The metal cover became black because there is no reflection, and his right hand thumb covers a tiny bit of the humbucker, making it look like a Classic mfd.
I blew up the image and it is Seth Lover-looking. My question was about the tuners; they look like old Tele's... or is it a "Rustic" version w/ aged hardware?

Cheers,

I asked Dave about this guitar and he said it is just a stock ASAT Classic Bluesboy. Those tuners are stock and not aged hardware.
The photo threw me off and I too blew up the photo and do see the SL HB.
Jon had heard good things about G&L guitars so he decided to check them out. Amazed with the variety of options available from G&L,
he quickly zeroed in on a wider fingerboard, selecting a G&L #3 profile. He soon took delivery of his new ASAT Classic Bluesboy and
couldn't be happier.
The Bluesboy arrived at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where Journey was performing that night. Straight out of the box
Jonathan Cain the entire Journey crew were blown away with the ASAT's tone. As Jon ran it through its paces at soundcheck, he immediately
fell in love with the feel and craftsmanship of the guitar.
That's a much better picture showing that it IS an ASAT Classic Bluesboy!
