Has the Asat Classic bridge spec changed with metrication?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Has the Asat Classic bridge spec changed with metrication?

Post by NickHorne »

I'm hoping to fit Callaham's nicely cut-back Tele bridge to a new Asat Classic I am about to order imminently, as I really like the picking clearance it gives, + it will give good clearance for routing the B string to a Hipshot bender (once I've drilled a little hole in it).

I'm just a little concerned that the Asat's mounting and string hole spacings may have changed a little since G&L's "metrication", which could throw this nice, simple little plan well off course!

I did recently try a Tribute Classic, which seemed to measure just like a Tele, but this may have nothing to do with current USA G&L spec.

Anyone know?

Thanks!
Nick
