I took a picture of the tone capacitor on my USA ASAT Special (Made in 1994). I am assuming it is a .22 UF type. But at what volts? (if this question applies)
Also, what company makes these types of green capacitors?
Any other comments are welcome. Thanks!

See this site where you can purchase these caps. The '2' before the A is 10E2 = 100V, the '223' is 22E-3 μF or .022μF, and the J corresponds to a 5% tolerance (see this nice tutorial).Ribsspare wrote:I took a picture of the tone capacitor on my USA ASAT Special (Made in 1994). I wouldn't be to worried about the voltage as you would be talking about less than 1Volt coming out of your guitar

The capacitor is made by Xicon, and as somebody said voltage does not matter. Get the lowest voltage possible as it will also be the smallest size capacitor. Mouser Electronics has this particular industrial type. Acme Guitar Works is also a good place to find stuff like this.
