Hi All,
I have a 3-bolt ASAT III (from the '96 batch) that has a maple neck, and though I used to like maple I find that I much prefer rosewood these days. Given that ASAT III's are rare, especially with rosewood necks, I've started looking for a 3-bolt rosewood ASAT neck (and I have an ad for that in the marketplace). I assume that 3-bolt necks are swappable, but want to make sure. And what if I found a Legacy or S-500 neck from that era. I assume that they would fit the ASAT III?
Thanks in advance.
Joe

Re: Swap 3-bolt Necks
Yes, you should be able to swap them. There might be some minor issuesbbjonz wrote:Hi All,

with the fit of the neck into the neck pocket on the body depending on
the dimensions of this specific body. There could be a small gap between
the neck and the walls of the neck pocket or the fit could be a little too
tight and the pocket would then need to be opened slightly. In the case
of the fit being too tight, G&L recommend's having a qualified service tech
install the new neck.
Hope this helps.
