Another fantastic pedal from strymon has found it's way onto my board. They make amazing stuff, and this is no exception. The predelay is long enough you can get a 'slapback reverb' out of it and everything. A lot of fun, and a lot of great sounds in this pedal. The shimmer mode is excellent, paired with spring reverb you get an in and out oscillating crystaline type thing going on in the upper octave (shimmer introduces 1 octave up bloom in plate, octave +5th in spring/room). The sounds are all very good and usable, the spring mode (normal) can keep up with my amps reverb tank to boot. I love the high and low cut options as they allow for stuff like a good reverb for a dirt guitar (keep it off the lows so it remains tight).

Another cool thing these pedals can do is handle direct line level signals, aka you can run out of your DAW/interface into the pedal, and back in to apply the effect 'post'. The only thing you need to do is monitor the signal, as the only thing they are missing is a CLIP notifier.

I forgot to mention the modulated mods are very nice too. The 'decay' is actually spring length/room size/plate size, and has some pretty profound effects. When you hear odd drag /etc that is me playing with room size ( and it recalculating, the tape delay sim does the same with speed, as that happens with tape delays), which could also be a useful effect in and of itself in the right place . It has True bypass, or trails mode.

That pretty wild! Sounds like you can get synth type sounds out of it. That Strymon stuff really is impressive, I'm gonna have to try them out one day.

The 'synth' sounds are the shimmer, there is just so much in that pedal it is absurd. One of the shimmers I set up to have 100% wet so you only had the reverb and it bleed in, that was probably the synthiest. The reverb is a bit intense in that demo, but keep in mind I never had the mix knob lower than 3 o clock, which is 50/50 wet/dry.
