Skipped Introduction and Straight for the good stuff.

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Skipped Introduction and Straight for the good stuff.

Post by Donald »

Hello my name is Donald, I live in Georgia. I just purchased my first G&L today. I only have two problems with it: 1. I can hear it taunting me as I write this message, and 2. It does not make me breakfast.

I have named her the Captains Cream.

And boy does she have a sexy back side.

I don't think this is the place for it, but I am just going to say here, and on many other parts of this forum that this is a mind blowing guitar. There is just nothing I would change, I have never played a guitar that felt like something other than a guitar in my hands. This feels like I am caressing marshmallows while my fingers are kissed by angels.

One last thing on a serious note, I need a little help. I spent $700 on this guitar. I see some G&L's go for 600 or less. I know I did not over pay cause I would have been satisfied spending well over $1500 on it, but is it worth the $700 I paid for it.

If you got an original case in good condition with your guitar I'd say you done good. I like it as that is not a color I see much of.

Although your statement may sound a little like buyers remorse, I think at the same time you answered your own question ;) But to allay some worries, from the Vintage Guitar Price Guide for this year, you have paid a ballpark number: higher than the low but lower than the high.

any guitar that can do that is worth double what you paid for it. nice looking guitar and just about the best description of pleasure derived from it that i've heard in a long time. i'd say you did just fine. but watch out. G&L's are like potato chips. You can't have just one. :)

If it feels good it is, Very good price for something that satisfying. Besides it is a very nice color as it appears as a Vintage White to me.-- Darwin
