Does something like a Worldwide Registry of Available Stock exist whereby G&L shoppers/buyers/collectors can track down existing guitars for sale?
My first thought would be to list new and especially NOS but used equipment would be valuable also.
If this does not exist it would benefit everyone if G&L created one.
Car dealerships do what they call a "dealer trade" when one has something they need that another is willing to give up for various reasons.
Out there somewhere is a guitar that I am looking for but cannot find unless I start going through the list of every G&L dealer in the world.
There are very few G&L dealers effectively using the internet.
I am aware of the marketplace here on this forum but that really only reaches a limited demographic and it is not used by any dealers as far as I can tell.
This would not necessarily impact the custom order market. That is one of the relatively unique options with G&L, to order one exactly as you want it. Instead, this would free up space for dealers to order more because there would be a faster turnover of product.
As an aside, it would help immensely if the current G&L dealer list indicated whether the shop carried USA or just Tribute series guitars.

Re: Worldwide Registry of Available Stock
The best I can offer is this from member Jamie_D: Are there any search tools for eBay and/or craigslist?
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.
