Gun oil affect sound?

Gun oil affect sound?

Hi. I am thinking about ordering an S 500 sometime in the next few months. I am considering one with a maple top fret board with gun oil neck coating because I like the darker color. Do you think the gun oil finish can mute the tone in a slight negative way? Or it doesn't matter and gun oil does not affect the sound?

It does not matter, it will not affect the sound. See:
