How do the G&L humbuckers sound compared to the Seymour Duncans?
BTW I've come to the conclusion that like the old Lays potato chip
commercial says when it comes to ASAT models I bet I can't buy
one. I've been trying to decide on which one when one may not
be the solution.

You mean a tribute with two G&L humbuckers and a US model with two Duncans ?
I have an ASAT Deluxe with a Duncan JB in the bridge and a G&L in the neck. The G&L is actually very good, clear and not woofy sounding. Sounds good overdriven and clean, I'm partial to a lot of jazzy chords and it does that well. That probably doesn't answer your question but it may give you an idea. Come to think of it my Legacy 2HB and Invader both have the same pickups as the ASAT Deluxe, and they both sound just fine, the G&L pickup matches well with the JB in all of them.
I have a US made ASAT Deluxe with (what I think) are G&L pups and they sound very good. Be aware that according to the List of pickups used in G&L guitars, the only difference in G&L pups used in US models and those for Tribies are the chrome covers and the slightly hotter AS4255 neck pup in the Tribute.
