Does the ASAT semi hollow body sound
the same with or without the F hole?

It might project a little less acoustically without an F hole but they are mostly aesthetic, a thinline isn't going to have a whole lot of acoustic loudness either way. They are still made to be played plugged in. F holes are primarily for the aesthetic, one I personally do not care for (I would like a semi hollow bluesboy, no F hole).
