Ever notice this on necks?

The neck profile of G&L (at least the one I have, #3, C shape) is not uniform, it tapers thinner mich quicker and closer to V type near the nut, and gets a little rounder more traditional C as the neck goes down. Never noticed that before but it sure is comfy as heck. Kind of like the faltter portion at the middle of the C gets wider as you climb the neck, giving a nicer thumb area (for those playing thumb behind neck) for leads.
