Legacy Tribute Pot Change

Quick couple of questions:

A tech recently changed a couple of pots on my Legacy Tribute, and seems to have accidentally swapped the 1 meg bass control pot for a 500K pot. What will this do, if anything, to the guitar? Will it be damaging? Should I get it replaced again with the original component? Thanks! Don't know much about guitar electronics so I would appreciate the help!

The control pots work as frequency filters. Your guitar will still work but the bass control won't act as well as bass cut filter but, I guess, more as a midrange cut. For more details on which frequency range, you'd better wait for someone else with more knowledge to blend in the conversation.
