Middle position CLF 100 pickup

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Middle position CLF 100 pickup

Post by DanielAraujo »

Hi everyone.

Do you know if there are tonal differences between the CLF 100 pickup made for middle position and the one made for neck?

I suppose it's just a polarity thing (middle should be RWRP to make 2 and 4 humcancelling) but it'd be good to hear from more experienced G&L clients.

The thing is, my Legacy HB won't cancel hum when bridge (split) + middle are activated. So I suppose swapping middle and neck wil do the trick. But if the neck PU is brighter than the middle PU I'll be creating a new problem.

thanks
Daniel

Good! G&L answered my question.
Hi Daniel,

There are no other differences. Your statement below is correct.

Dear friends,

Regarding the middle position CLF100 pickup:

Other than being RWRP, are there any tonal differences between it and the bridge/neck model?
