ASAT Deluxe Semi-Hollow

Post by Loobster »

Anyone playing one? Wouldn't mind ordering one next. It'd be a great compliment to my S-500 and ASAT Special. Is it available without a figured top? Post some pics if you've got one.

Also, would I be able to order the guitar with covered humbuckers?

I ordered a S-500 Deluxe without the figured top a couple of weeks ago - still waiting... The ASAT Deluxe should be available without it as well. Same for covered humbuckers. If G&L has them, you will most likely be able to order them for your guitar. Have your dealer check with G&L.

AFAIK the only ASAT Deluxe model available with covered humbuckers is the new
Tribute ASAT Deluxe Carved Top. It has a solid Mahogany body with a Flamed Maple top.

The USA ASAT Deluxe Semi-Hollow is only available with uncovered SD humbuckers
or the optional EMG 85/81 humbucker set.

Like Martin S said, check with you local G&L dealer.

Hope this helps.

Are the tributes actually carved top ? I am wondering why they don't add a carved top ASAT to the USA line, that would smoke.

Yes, both of the Carved Top models have real carved tops. Who knows, they might add one or more carved tops to the USA line sometime in the future.

Hope this helps.
