I'm a big G&L fan, and a friend wants to sell me his beautiful 1998 S500. It's in absolutely perfect condition and plays and sounds wonderfully, but neither of us has any idea what something like this from that year would sell for. I couldn't find anything comparable on eBay to compare.
It's not a Deluxe -- it's a standard S500 with translucent honey amber finish (with a series/parallel switch). Any ideas on the going price for a perfect S500 from that year? Thanks much!

I just paid $770 for a mint 2010 S-500 from TGP, cased, if that gives you any indication.
