Yeah, I know, I know, this is the "wrong place" to post this, but gee whiz everybody, I take a little sabbatical (21/2 yrs) after my last Lunch Report and when I come back the P's have totally remodeled, re-arranged the furniture, and changed the locks! Anyway, Life's been good, with the usual ups and downs. Give me 5, I'm still alive! LOL! Playing bass these days (including standup - what a pleasure!) and getting ready to move. Please check out a sample of herd reduction in Marketplace.
With best regards,
Rob
PS. I know, I know. But it was a lot easier in '98.

Hey Rob,
Welcome back and glad all is well. Round here as you see, some faces have changed and paint job is different but it's still the same guitars we all love.
I looked at the marketplace and you are an enabler. How am I going to explain another guitar?
Look forward to seeing you more often and fill us in on your bass adventures. Does this sell off and bass playing mean all the six stringers are gone?

Well, Sam, as you well know, this enabling thing is hereditary/contagious around here. And hey, if you have to "'splain" one, why not go for two or three! The doghouse is always big enough! Enough 6 stringers are still around, including the Broadcaster, et al. I might part with my recent SB-2, because the 1981 L-1000 is just so damn incredible. But it's happy to be "red-shirted" for now. Electrically I'm with a trio with 2 acoustic guitars and other old farts playing '60's-'70's folk/rock. Would really like to be in a blues trio, though. Acoustically I duet w/ a grand piano doing standards (Sinatra, Nat Cole, Cole Porter, etc) at the local Nordstroms and private parties, weddings, etc. Have you all discovered the iPad app "UnrealBook" yet? Outstanding. Put your music into PDF then organize by setlist and turn pages by tapping the screen or w/ a bluetooth pedal. Beats all heck out of MusicPadPro, which beat all heck out of paper notebooks.
Cheers,
Rob

Spooky ... (cue "Twilight Zone" theme) .... I was just playing the Ultraspontane CD that you sent e in the car on Wednesday and wondered how you are and what you've been up to. Great to see you back and that you're travelling well.
