I've been in the market for a "white" guitar for some time. The problem is finding the "right" white for me - I'm not really a fan of the yellow-ish or milky whites, and neither the stark white ones either. Compound that with the neck issues (either maple boards or toothpick thin necks) on most F style guitars, and it's been a long road.

Craigslist to the rescue! I found this virtually unplayed 2006 G&L Legacy (seriously, it's hardly even dusty) on my local list. As soon as he opened the case, I knew it it was coming home with me.

It's a much brighter white than the pictures show. I *love* the neck it's nice and beefy without being chunky. Plays very well, nice weight (a bit of heft, I like that). I also really dig the tone controls, the H/L cut is perfect for tailoring the sound. It's like a perfected TBX control.

I'm not crazy about the mint guard, so I ordered a Baltic Amber pickguard from Chandler. I think it will look very sharp:

This will be my second G&L, you guys might remember my first:

What a great brand this is. Fender who? :)

Gorgeous Legacy :luv:

I like the mint guard, but the amber guard should look good in a classic kind of way too.

Please PM me if you're thinking of selling the mint guard. :D

I was trying to force myself to go outside my normal wheelhouse of red, black and blue. Doing that led me to these two beauties which was a very good thing!
