G&L Legacy Truss Rod Question

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

G&L Legacy Truss Rod Question

Post by Guitar Josh »

I'm checking out a Legacy tomorrow and the seller sent me pics of the headstock. I'm sort of a G&L rookie, so if someone could take a look at this and let me know if it looks normal or OK (or conversely, if I should run the other way), I'd appreciate it!

Looks fine to me. This is the truss rod end where you would insert your hex Allen wrench to adjust the relieve of your neck. Very early G&L had a truss rod that would extend beyond the nut more but ever since the early '90, this is what it looks like. Make sure you figure out from the model year whether the nut is metric or imperial if the originally suppled wrenches are not provided.

Hope this helps,
