The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
My new G&L Legacy just showed up! I ordered it first week of December.
Clear red over swamp ash. A tiny bit lighter than my alder Strat. Vintage tinted neck, locking tuners, graphite nut. It came with the G&G case, which I didn't expect. Also, I didn't specify a quartersawn neck but this one might be (my other two guitars have qs necks and this looks just like them). This was probably one of the last G&L's made without the metal tag screwed to the back of the headstock.
Really nice, clear tone. The neck is great. Surprised at how excellent the trem is. And the action came super-low, just the way I like it! Now I just need to figure out how to use the tone controls.
Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised to get that case with my Legacy last week! Interesting that you DON'T have the metal plate with the serial number. I got mine last Weds and it had one.
Just curious, how heavy is it...have you weighed it?
Oh MAN! Don't let Darwin see that RED guitar, OOPS, never mind, too late! Anyway, thats a SWEET guitar you got there. I love Legacys! Especially RED ones!
