The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
Hi everybody.
I have recently bought a beautiful US redburst ASAT semi solid Bluesboy. I can find out most of the details but I don't seem to be able find out what sort of finish the body has. Is it polyurethane, maybe cellulose? I have to say that I have always played telecasters and this is my first G+L but what quality! It feels like it's a cut above what I've played before and I just want to play it all the time, and that can't be bad can it
Apart from the rustic series, I believe all modern G&L are poly. Sounds like your G&L addiction is taking effect! They are the hardest guitars to put back on the rack. This forum sometimes feels more like an addict support group more than anything!
Hiya. Thanks for that, I didn't think it was lacquer. It certainly is a lovely finish. Do you know if you can tell the year of manufacture by the number on the back of the headstock?
