G&L GAS Rumblings
As many of you know, I was one of the lucky dudes to win one of Jay books on GAS when he was LR a couple of weeks ago. It came in the mail yesterday and I was consumed by it last night and read the whole thing. First of all, the disclaimer, I do not have GAS like many of you have. The proof is that I have not purchased a G&L guitar this week. The last one that followed me home was last Friday. Now that we have that cleared up, this book is going to be a savior for me. Ginny is going to read it next and I am pondering on whether I should remove the last section on confessions. Anyway, it is really amusing to see the problems that some of these dudes have. And many of them were diehard G&L owners who continue to get themselves in a mess from this affliction. G&L-- do you admit to any part in this newly found and described condition???? Sounds to me like some of these dudes need a good lawyer, if there is such.(joke) Anyway, Jay, you obviously did your homework on this condition and hopefully your theories and revelations will save a marriage or two. Does G&L need a support group for this mess???? Darwin. It was a great read!

Eh, we ARE the support group ... Maybe not very helpful; more the encouraging kind.darwinohm wrote:Does G&L need a support group for this mess????
I'm looking forward to receive my copy which, according to Jay's poetic words "is currently crossing this great country of ours". Jay also sent me the self-assessment test and somewhat to my surprise I was not a complete GASolholic. But in reviewing the answers it was merely because I've never been to a Guitar Show. And given the point swing, maybe I should never do it either. Yeah, it's the point swing that keeps me away ...
