Seth Lover VS Gibby 57 Classic

Post by vinnyk »

Can anyone give a comparisson between th 2 pickups?
I played an G with the 57's and was blown away by the tone. Was wondering if the Seth Loverrs were close.
I have never played a BluesBoy but would probably be my next purchase as I have no Humbucking guitars currently.

I had an ES335 with the '57 pickups. The Seth Lover in the neck of my semi-hollow Bluesboy sounded similar but better - sweeter and more articulate. I ended up selling the ES335 because the Bluesboy did the neck humbucker sound much better (IMO) and stayed in tune for more than 5 minutes.
