Locking tuners for a blues boy

Post by sonicjgb »

Hello everyone,
i was wondering if someone here could help me with this,
I bought a custom ASAT bluesboy abot a year ago and have been in love with it ever since. When i ordered it i chose the standard tuners but now i am thinking of replacing them with locking tuners. Does anyone know what brand of locking tuners G&L uses? Where can they be purchased? And most importantly will they fit in the same holes as the standard tuners or will it be necessary to modify the headstock?
Thanks in advance!

G&L uses both Schaller and Sperzel locking tuners. Here is a thread on this subject discussing what it takes. To make sure no drilling is involved, make sure you replace Schaller tuners (they will have G&L stamped on them) with Schaller locking tuners and Sperzel with Sperzel tuners. They are supposed to be direct drop-ins.
